All roads will lead to Mysuru for the annual Nada Habba Dasara festival, as festivities kick off with a traditional puja at Chamundeshwari Temple atop Chamundi Hills. Writer Nadoja Hampa Nagarajaiah offered floral tributes to Goddess Chamundeshwari, marking the beginning of the nine-day extravaganza that draws tourists from around the world. The grand Vijayadashami procession will conclude the festival, starting from Mysore Palace on October 12. Nadoja Hampa Nagarajaiah, also known as Hampanna, inaugurated the festival and fondly recalled childhood memories of playing with dolls. He emphasized that Dasara showcases Karnataka's cultural diversity and is widely celebrated by the state's people. Scion of the Mysuru royal family and Member of Parliament, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, conducted the annual private darbar at Mysore Palace over the nine days of Navratri. A R Rahman and Ilaiyaraaja will perform at Mysuru Dasara, among other cultural events such as the Yuva Dasara, food mela, flower show, and book mela. This year's film festival will honor the late actor-filmmaker Dwarakish.
